This is the WORLD'S FIRST window gun integration of an M134 Minigun weapon system with an AS-532 Cougar helicopter.
It comprises an indigenous window gun mount and a base interface developed specifically for the purpose. The entire system is attached to the seat connection or cargo connection hard points on the floor with specially designed patented locking latches.
It requires no structural modifications to the platform. Movement of the gun on the mount is limited to prevent it from hitting the platform when in the line of fire.
The foldable gun mount allows FLIGHT WITH CLOSED WINDOWS. For M134 Miniguns, an electric switch conforming to aviation standards that cuts the electric current to the gun is included on the mount.
Crew served system
Thanks to its tool-free assembly and disassembly feature, mounting requires a VERY SHORT TURN-AROUND time.
It is suitable for 7.62mm M134 Minigun, 5.56mm PM556 Micro Minigun, and M249 and M240 machine guns.
